Got questions? We've got answers.

What sports does OpenMatchDay support?

OpenMatchDay is designed for futsal and football (soccer) tournaments. It supports both indoor and outdoor formats with configurable match periods, number of halves, break times, courts, and group sizes.

Can I try OpenMatchDay before buying?

Yes. Request a free trial and you'll get full access to the platform. Create a tournament, add teams, score matches, and see how everything works before choosing a plan.

How does live scoring work?

Admins and referees score matches from the Command Center — a split-screen control panel that works on any device. Tap the team, tap the player, and the goal is recorded. Cards, penalties, and match status changes work the same way. All updates appear instantly on public pages and the TV display.

Can spectators follow on their phones?

Every tournament gets its own public URL with mobile-optimized pages. Spectators see live scores, standings, the full schedule, and player statistics in real-time — no account or app needed.

What does the TV display mode do?

The TV display is a full-screen kiosk view designed for venue screens, projectors, and iPads. It auto-rotates between live scores, standings, schedule, and feed. You can configure split-view (two panes side by side), choose a theme, adjust font sizes, and enable a scrolling announcement ticker.

How are standings and tiebreakers calculated?

Standings are calculated automatically: 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw. Tiebreakers follow standard tournament rules: goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head record, then alphabetical order. Playoff advancement is automatic based on group results.

What languages are supported?

The entire platform is available in 7 languages: English, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, German, and Spanish. Admins and spectators can switch language independently at any time.

What happens when my tournament ends?

Completed tournaments remain accessible with full results, standings, and statistics. They no longer count toward your active tournament limit, freeing up slots for new events.

Where is the data hosted?

OpenMatchDay is hosted on EU-based servers in Sweden, ensuring full GDPR compliance and low latency for European users. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Built by POISE™, a registered cybersecurity company in Stockholm.

How secure is the platform?

Built by a cybersecurity company, security is our priority. The platform includes two-factor authentication (2FA), 5 permission levels so you control who can do what, encrypted connections, brute-force protection, and a full activity log. All passwords are securely stored and never visible to anyone.
